Welcome to the Expressions Whirinaki 2019 Theatre Season.
This year's line-up features a programme of live, engaging and exciting theatre that will make you laugh, cry, and think. Ranging from Michele A'Court's hilarious side-splitting comedies to the Melbourne Ballet's Alice in Wonderland, award-winning drama and world class performances for children, this is theatre at its best. We are very excited by this high energy, high quality and innovative programme and hope you can enjoy the 2019 season of exceptional theatre.
ON THE ROAD WITH MICHELE A'COURT AND JEREMY ELWOOD

Michele A'Court and Jeremy Elwood are two of New Zealand's premier stand-up comics, renowned for their intelligent, irreverent and insightful comedy.
MOCKINGBIRD

Mockingbird explores the often neglected subject of mental health through the use of humour, mask and music.
ALICE IN WONDERLAND

Melbourne City Ballet pay homage to the well-known novel by Lewis Carroll, 'Alice in Wonderland', with this enchanting ballet.

KATIE BOYLE IN THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR

Katie Boyle plays 16 faces in this Shakespearean farce. With many clueless male suitors after three quick-witted ladies, this show will leave you gasping for air.

THE POND

The Pond is a magical journey through the eyes of the creatures and plants that live in and around the pond and whose daily lives depend on the importance of water for their survival. Please note due to an illness in the cast, this show is replacing 'Paper Shaper'.
THE KEYS ARE IN THE MARGARINE

This play is created from interviews with people with direct experience of the Dementia and Alzheimer's, communicating the effect dementia has on the lives of those living with the disease and everyone around them.
THE SOUTH AFREAKINS

Helene and Gordon are stuck; stuck in the same rut in South Africa. When they finally leave everything they've ever known, they discover it's hard work to find "home".
