On a scrap of paper in 1979, Hairy Maclary was born. Join Hairy Maclary and Scarface Claw in this exhibition which reveals the evolution of Dodd's creative process and her characters rise to international fame.
This exhibition features more than 50 original illustrations and loads of hands on activities.

This is your chance to meet the creator of Hairy Maclary, Lynley Dodd, with a question and answer time (10am - 11am) followed by a book signing (11am - noon). Bring in your own book or purchase one from our pop up shop.

Join Upper Hutt City Library staff for a 20 minute reading time in the Lynley Dodd exhibition. with all the favourites such as a Dragon in the Garden and Hairy Maclary. Children will receive a free fluffy in the cafe.

Bring your pet in and have your photo taken together in the Pet Photo Booth. (Please keep your dogs on leads and cats/birds in cages while you wait your turn).
