New Zealand String Quartet

To celebrate its 25th anniversary this year, the New Zealand String Quartet presents a six-concert series comprising all the Beethoven string quartets. At Expressions, we hear three quartets from his heroic and revolutionary so-called middle period. This includes Quartets 10 and 11 nicknamed respectively, ‘Harp’ and ‘Serioso’, and the last of the three quartets commissioned by Count Razumovsky, then the Russian Ambassador to Vienna.
