FACING
AN ERA
Postcard
portraits from a century ago
This
exhibition features 200 New Zealand postcards from the first
half of the twentieth century. The images offer a variety
of formal portraits by professional photographers and candid
family snapshots by everyday New Zealanders. The exhibition
is curated by Wellington based photographic historian William
Main. William Main also worked on the popular touring
show which visited Expressions in 2007, James Bragge, Wellington
to Wairarapa.

join exhibition curator William Main for a floor talk about
the photograph's featured in Facing an Era. Mr Main
will also be available at the conclusion of the talk to discuss
any historical portraits you may like to bring along.
