Kazakhstan-born Marat Bisengaliev made a startling debut at the age of nine and went on to study at Moscow's Tchaikovsky Conservatoire with Boris Belkin and Valery Klimov.  His performances have been described by The Times as "fiery with affection and eloquence", and as "a latter-day Ysaÿe" by the American Fanfare magazine.

2006 NEW ZEALAND HIGH SCHOOLS' JAZZ ORCHESTRA

New Zealand High Schools' Jazz Orchestra in concert under musical director Vaughn Roberts presenting a programme of New Zealand pop and traditional music arranged by Vaughn Roberts in the jazz idiom.  The programme includes music from Crowded House, Split Enz and Bic Runga.

The orchestra, selected by audition New Zealand wide, includes the very best of our young jazz musicians.

Come and listen to a great night of music played by our jazz stars of the future.
