AN EVENING WITH SUSAN FOGARTY

Events with Essence presents the first in a series of events designed by women, for women.

Join us for an evening of fun and hilarity with Susan Fogarty. Susan is a New Zealand writer and comedian based in Wellington . She is a columnist in New Zealand women's magazine "New Idea" and her book "Susan in the Suburbs" was published in 2006 and is a guide to sex, sanity and the joys of motherhood. She has been a regular panelist in the television show "Good Morning" and "Newstalk ZB's" Christchurch Friday panel, and appeared on Pulp Comedy. Susan was also a founding member of New Zealand ’s longest running comedy show “Scared Scriptless”. Ticket price includes light finger food.

Events with Essence presents the second in a series of events designed by women, for women.

We are surrounded by images of the way to the shiniest hair, the whitest smile, the fullest lips, the softest skin, the flattest abs, the perfect life. When we feel the weight of not measuring up to these unattainable standards, we lament the dominant messages of the advertising industry, Hollywood hype, and the “makeover” mania that has swept through this generation. 

As influential as these media and others are in shaping our view of what it means to be a woman, our real challenge lies in dealing with the views of one person, and one person only….. the one in the mirror. 

Come and enjoy an evening of honesty and humour with Sandie Finnigan of Strategic Life Services, exploring how to free yourself to be ravishing, radiant and real!!
