Look and Listen

unique and interactive event. Celebrated New Zealand authors
and talents Nick Bollinger, John Saker, and Richard Hall will be
talking about their recent 'How To' books published by Awa Press.
Come enjoy the evening and learn how to listen to pop music, how
to gaze at the southern stars, and how to drink a glass of wine!
There will be an actual wine tasting session, a presentation on
the southern skies, and live reviews of music. This event
will be chaired by radio personality Phil O’Brien.

Expressions
Arts and Entertainment Centre is wholly owned by the Upper Hutt
City Council and leased to the Expressions Arts and Entertainment
Trust. The objectives of the Trust are the advancement of cultural
activities, the arts, recreation and leisure activities for
the residents of Upper Hutt City. This meeting is an opportunity
to put your point of view across and ask questions about activities
at Expressions.

Onstage Productions present Blood, Guts and Khaki
– an original tribute to New Zealand’s heroes of war told through
songs and monologues. The production, featuring Dame Kate
Harcourt and Sir Jon Trimmer, is directed by veteran theatre performer,
Kevin Baddiley and includes such war-time favourites as ‘Now is
the Hour’, ‘Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy’, ‘Keep the Home Fires Burning’,
and many more much-loved songs of the war years.
