A tribute to the 1957 compilation album by Miles Davis featuring a New Zealand School of Music bob quintet led by Dr Dave Lisik. Featuring the unusual grouping of saxophone, trumpet, bass, drums and piano these famous recordings are considered seminal in the history of cool jazz. In this concert, a New Zealand School of Music ensemble led by lecturer Dr Dave Lisik, will recreate the line-up of musicians and present several of these original compositions.
